I have a couple of questions today.
First, what is a 75-79 Nova front clip compatible with?
I just replaced my 71 Nova's subframe with one from the correct year. I pulled a 75-79 X body subframe out and now I'd like to sell it on Ebay or the like. I found that it should fit the following models:
1975 - 1979 Omega
1975 - 1977 Ventura
1978 - 1979 Phoenix
1975 Apollo
1975 - 1979 Skylark
Did I get all of them? Will it fit all of the above?
Second, how can I test my front springs/shocks to see if they're bad?
The old subframe had BB springs for a SBC, but I could salvage the shocks. The new (old, but new to me!) clip had shocks and springs on it but they feel a little too easy to compress. Not the bounciest, so the shocks might be fine.
Third, can I adjust the height of the rear end with the leaf springs or something else?
When I pulled the clip, I noticed the driver's side sits much lower (4") than the passenger side in the rear. Can I adjust this easily with the leaf springs or something else? I'd like to lift the rear end up a bit on both sides.
