Nice looking 67 front clip on ebay
The ad says 62-67 but I thought the 66 and 67 were different? May be a good grab for somebody on the west coast. $750 seems a little high sice it's minus rad support. BUT it is disc brakes. Wish it was closer to my area. I need one BAD!
I think 750 is way too much. You should be able to fine one for a few hundred with the discs if you look for awhile. I have one for 62-65 that has drums and thats never been hit or anything and can't get rid of it for 100.
20 years ago it would have been worth something. That was before all the aftermarket clips came out though. Now they are practically a dime a dozen because everybody who installs a clip has one left-over.
It's not totally-worthless though if it is in nice shape. Somebody out there has a crinkled-up front subframe that needs replaced.
I remember back in the 80s I bought a pristine '63 coupe from an old lady in York, PA who had bought it new in '63. I removed the immaculate front subframe and put it on an SS car I had and then sold the 63 to a guy with the crappier subframe. You didn't see any spare subrames laying around for sale back then.
yeah thats the truth i have 2 subrame just because of the front clip swaps disc brake are readly available now so nobody cares about 5 lug spindles but thers has to be somebody on a tight budget that need sthe suspension parts for the 1st gen
Agreed. There are two guys in my area selling front end parts for First/Second Gen Novas on craigslist and can't get rid of them. I have my own front end for sale, but since no one's really in the market there's no sense in me putting up a for sale sign. Hell, if someone wanted to pay for the shipping and give me 20 bucks I'd be happy enough to let it go.
I have a 64 front end that I will give away for free. I live in Atlanta, but can deliver to Knoxville Tennessee (which is over 1/2 way to kentucky).
it doesn't have the rad support, and it is a drum front end -- but... you can have it if you like. i will be in knoxville on the Nov 21st weekend and can haul it in my little garden trailer for you if you like.
yes, I can provide pictures too..

The front end that came on my car is rusted beyond use around the hood hinge bolt area. I have debated going with an aftermarket front end but decided to keep it original looking under the hood. I think somebody makes a tubular "mini" subframe kit that keeps the strut rods, not sure though CCP maybe?? I plan to go that route. Anyway, I'll come across a 67 clip close by sooner or later I hope since alot of guys are going with the tubular/mustang type front ends.
